Going to a Mets Game Sober...

...is not something I would suggest.

Basically the only thing that constituted "fun" the entire night was noticing that strikes are denoted by 'K's. At three strikes, I looked over at the scoreboard and saw 'KKK' staring at me. I told my friend Aaron that the Mets don't really hold anything back when it comes to racism.

He explained in kind.

What else? Hmmm...

Oh yeah, Mike Piazza had a major wedgie. That was somewhat entertaining:

We left during the 5th inning and I concluded that "It just goes to show, being drunk is a necessary evil when you go to these things."

Recalling the night now, I just don't know who I thought I was ... trying to abstain from drinking for a night? Especially a night of sports? Sheesh, talk about poor planning on my part.

It's a conundrum when the beers are $17.

Or perhaps the decision is that much more clear when the beers are $17.

That decision, of course, being to not go to the game in the first place.

baseball really is the most un-appealing and boring game on the planet. pro-ball is the WORST despite all the hot men adjusting their crotches and patting each other's asses. good call.
